2019

“Galileo Galilei” Award

Presented to Professor Saverio Fortunato by the Galileo Galilei Technical and Economic Institute of Vibo Valentia for founding the first degree program in Linguistic Mediation – Criminology and Intelligence Track in Vibo Valentia.
This initiative provided an excellent educational opportunity within a complex regional context, fostering cultural growth throughout Calabria.

2021

“Valarioti–Impastato” National Award

Organized under the patronage of the Italian Ministry of University and Research (MUR), the award was presented to Professor Saverio Fortunato and Chief Prosecutor Dr. Camillo Falvo for their commitment to promoting legality and defending civil values, recognized as a national example of public service and dedication to human rights.

Over the years, the Criminologia.it Institute has welcomed distinguished guests from institutional, academic, and international spheres, strengthening its role as a bridge between science, justice, and diplomacy.

The “Criminologia.it” Award

Founded in 2008, the Criminologia.it Award honors individuals who have distinguished themselves through their contribution to crime prevention, human rights protection, and the promotion of legality.

The ceremony is held either at the Italian Chamber of Deputies in Rome or at the prestigious Palazzo Gagliardi in Vibo Valentia, the Institute’s main headquarters.
The award is crafted by master goldsmith Michele Affidato.
